Jermaine Hodges is the founder of KJ BALANCE Living, an independent living organization dedicated to supporting veterans and individuals in need of a second chance. Born in Chicago and relocating to Phoenix in 2023, Jermaine came seeking a fresh start — and turned that new beginning into a purpose-driven mission to help others rebuild their lives.

With a few years of experience in the healthcare field, Jermaine witnessed the challenges faced by veterans, seniors, and low-income individuals who struggle to find stable and affordable housing. These experiences inspired him to create KJ BALANCE Living, a safe, structured, and empowering environment where residents are treated with dignity, compassion, and respect.
My vision is centered on giving people second chances in life. At KJ BALANCE Living, housing is more than a place to stay — it is a family-style household, where residents belong, feel supported, and have the opportunity to grow. My mission is to help veterans and individuals rebuilding their lives find stability, independence, and a true sense of community.
